«Lenexpo» today and tomorrow
At present “Lenexpo” is one of the largest exhibition centers in Russia. It is the most significant complex in the North-West region of the country. Its fairgrounds take the territory of 14 hectares with 6 hectares of open exhibition space used for temporary expositions and trade fairs. The unique complex location does not disturb the city’s infrastructure. One may conveniently get to the city center, Strelna or Peterhof from “Lenexpo” quay; a helicopter can land at the complex landing zone.

The reconstruction process will include a phased demolition of old buildings which will be replaced by new modern pavilions. The enlargement of indoor exhibition territories up tp 60 000 sq m with a new hotel and business complex is planned to be executed by 2015.The construction of a new business center is also in sight. It is also planned to enlarge the parking space, renovate and widen “Lenexpo” quays and storehouses, upgrade power supply and catering systems, and build a new office center for “Lenexpo” staff.
