ExpoForum Purchased Lenexpo's Exhibition Business
On 1 October 2013, ExpoForum will complete the restructuring of its business and the construction and exhibition sides of the company will become the responsibility of different legal entities.
In connection with the shareholders’ decision to restructure ExpoForum’s business, the organisation of exhibitions, business events, and other large-scale cultural events, as well as the management of the exhibition venues, will be transferred to subsidiary company ExpoForum International.
According to ExpoForum General Director Sergei Zhuley, it is natural for two different types of business to be divided between legal entities. “ExpoForum will retain the function of contractor for the construction of the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre, while ExpoForum International will organise conventions and exhibitions.”
ExpoForum International was founded in April 2012 to provide a full range of tourism services for visitors and participants in conventions and exhibitions, as well as to organise Russian expositions and business programmes at industry exhibitions and global forums abroad. According to Sergey Voronkov, General Director of ExpoForum International, within a short period of time the company has already held a range of events of the very highest standard, and therefore it is entirely logical that its exhibition and convention business should be expanded. Management of the Lenexpo Exhibition Complex, and subsequently the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre, will also be transferred to ExpoForum International.
