On October 28 - November 01, 2009 "Lenexpo" will host "Auto+Automechanika. St. Petersburg" - the 17th International Exhibition of Vehicles, Autoworkshops, Service stations, Spare parts and Accessories. The exhibition exposition will be placed in the pavilions 7 and 8a.
Exhibition organizers: JSC "Lenexpo" and "Frankfurt Messe".
The event is organized in assistance with the Association of Car Manufacturers of Russia and CIS Countries (ACM-holding) and the North-West Branch of the "Russian Automobile Dealers" Association.
Exhibition official support is provided by:
St. Petersburg Government, the State Union of Service Equipment Manufacturers (ASA), the European Association of Garage Equipment (EGEA), the National Association of Auto components Manufacturers (NAPAK), and St. Petersburg Association of Auto components Manufactures (SAPAK).
"Auto+Aitomechanika" is a part of the international project " Automechanika Global" , which includes 11 exhibitions, conducted in Europe, Asia and Latin America. "Auto+Automechanika. St. Petersburg" has been annually conducted since 1993; it is considered the largest auto exhibition in the North-West region of Russia. The exhibition was granted the sign from the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, and in 2001 it also received the UFI sign (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry).
The Government of St. Petersburg has included the exhibition into the list of the priority events for the period of 2009-2011.
In 2009 the exposition will contain the following sections:
1. Manufacturing of modern auto components and spare parts.
The section demonstrates the produce for the Primary and Secondary markets. It also introduces different opportunities for the implementation of the latest foreign technologies into the national production;
2. Commercial transport.
In view of the realization of the passenger transport development Program the exposition is focused on the bus manufacturing.
3. Technical equipment, machines and technologies for auto service, garages and car parks.
This year "Auto+Automechnika. St. Petersburg" is the territory for the All-Russian All-round Junior Driving Schools Championship.
The competition program includes the road laws contest, speedy maneuvering (8 driving figures performed in front and back motion) and auto slalom (precise executing of 4 figures of 'eight').
The exhibition program also contains the driving show-performance by the Champion and Prize Winners of the Russian Drifting Championship.
The program novelty for this year is the auction of pawned cars. The vehicles, pawned to financial and credit establishments, will be demonstrated at the exposition and sold at the auction.
For the first time "Lenexpo" will host the unique exposition, presented by the largest European museum of retro cars from Vyborg. It is devoted to the unique Moscow car exhibition of 1959 and "Ford Mustang" 45th anniversary. The exhibition will demonstrate the rarest examples, made by the National auto industry, such as GAZ-21 and others. Exhibition visitors will also enjoy the exciting "Rockabilly -style' show.
The two-day International Conference "AutoSales& Service -from production line to customer. Efficient sales and service" and "Transport Safety" conference will be conducted in the exhibition framework.
"Transport safety" conference is organized by "Lenexpo" and the Automobile Transportation Institute. It will be focused on the problems of methodical, legislative and informational road safety support and professional drivers training.
"The Improvement of the State Mechanism of Technical Control, working of the principles of self-regulation" round-table discussion will observe the variant of annual vehicle technical control procedures, granted to the private controlling structures.
During the period of exhibition there will be a special test-drive territory, organized at "Lenexpo" fairgrounds to execute road tests and figure driving. Auto brands and companies, participating in the exhibition, along with the enterprises, which submitted the test-drive request application, will be allowed to demonstrate test drives.
