The aims of the exhibition are:
- development of book market (copyright market) in Russia

- development of the image of book market as the leading market of intellectual products, and the Russian Book Union - as the leading organization in the sphere of copyright protection and development of markets of intellectual products
- to be included into ten most famous world book exhibitions, with high percentage of international attendance most visited
- to become the first-rate in attendance exhibition in St. Petersburg, the most interesting annual holiday for all citizens of St. Petersburg
- to support cooperation between publishing houses and authors, book distributors and readers.
